摘要

Storing coded information onto a component's surface with high data density is the motivation for the presented work. Microstructures, which carry coded information, can be implemented using an outer diameter turning process and a high-dynamic Fast-Tool-Servo (FTS). The FTS allows movements perpendicular to the surface with structuring frequency of up to 6 kHz. Characteristic parameters of the newly developed FTS, its potentials for high density data storage as well as the influence of the process parameters on surface quality are presented within this paper.
