Repeatability in Millimetre-Scale Kinematic Relocation Systems

The basic mechanical behaviour of some low-cost miniature Kelvin clamp devices has been investigated, addressing a lack of guidelines for such systems. The test-rig is described. The relocatability and local stiffness of small steel and aluminium devices were less good than those expected of larger systems, but still potentially useful.
