摘要

This paper deals with the characterization of the mixed-mode (i.e. I - opening mode and II - shear mode) crack growth process in wood timber by experimental investigations. This work is in keeping with the analytical and numerical approach of mode separation by Mθ-integral. Based on the numerical simulations and the experimental tests, a modified DCB (Double Cantilever Beam) specimen geometry, with variable inertia, is proposed.
