Cognition on Planning Wooden School Architecture: Analysis of The Nationwide Survey of Excellent Wooden Schools by Ministry of Education

摘要

Recently most of the school architectures are built with reinforced concrete or steel in Japan. Wooden school architectures arc only about 2 % in floor area. The number of wooden school architectures and school architectures using wood increased slowly for these 20 years. We analysed the recognitions of pupils and school staffs, and revealed the direction of wood school architecture in the future. The school staffs recognized good points of wood, the excellences of the space that used wood, used for their school architecture wood, and were satisfied. It was thought that using wood caused a good effect for the pupils' growth. If the recognitions which are found in this analysis are spread to people, excellent wood use are expected to accelerated.
