Microstructure of 2Cr13 and nitrogen bearing martensitic stainless steel 2Cr13N was investigated,and the properties of the two kinds of steels such as hardness and corrosion resistance were determined by hardness testing,pitting potential test and salt spray test.Results show that 2Cr13N has lower normalizing temperature,better corrosion resistance,and exhibits obvious secondary hardening ability.Both Microstructure study and calculation results show that carbides begin to precipitate from 2Cr13N at lower temperature in the cooling process from normalizing temperature.
