This paper presents two pyroshock simulations, each with a differentresonant fixture technique. Pyroshock testing requirements are usuallygiven in the form of a shock response spectrum (SRS), and the success ofthe two simulations is assessed with the comparison of the testspecification SRS to the simulation SRS. However, there is anotherassessment that should always be made to determine the quality ofpyroshock and pyroshock simulation data; the measured acceleration timehistorymust be integrated to obtain the corresponding velocity timehistory. An examination of the velocity time-history must show that theaccelerometer measurement is free of offsets and other contamination suchas drift and noise and the velocity makes physical sense for the testconfiguration.
