In Chinese universities, it is a common phenomenon that many of the students do not have breakfast chronically, which causes a series of problems. This paper discusses the influence of breakfast on university students’ intellectual work efficiency based on ergonomical perspective, and analyzes the main factors that cause the prevalence of “ignoring breakfast”. In order to improve this situation, simulation software Flexsim is used to build a model to represent the actual condition of the dining hall system. By running the model and analyzing the statistical data, the bottleneck is identified. Lastly, the optimization methods are put forward.
