Research Status of Detoxification and Resource Utilization Technology of Chromium-Containing Slag

摘要

Due to the large amount of production and dumping, high toxicity, chromium slag is regarded as one of the 47 kinds of hazardous wastes. The harms of soluble hexavalent chromium and calcium chromate in chromium-containing slag to humans and environment were introduced in this paper. The hazard-free treatment methods to chromium-containing slag including dry detoxification process, wet detoxification process, solidification method, microbiological method and microwave irradiation, as well as detoxification principles and application range of these methods were also elaborated. The comprehensive utilization of chromium-containing slag resources such as producing construction materials, preparing glass-ceramics and calcium magnesium phosphate, sintering and making iron, was also described. The advantages and disadvantages of those utilization methods and process of production and preparation were compared and elaborated.
