Effect of Counter Ion on the pH Sensitivity and Gene Transfection of Ortho Ester-Based Lipoplexes

摘要

Novel ortho ester-based pH sensitive cationic lipids and lipoplexes with different counter ions and helper lipids have been prepared and characterized. Compared with the iodide counter ion, the more hydratable chloride counter ion enhanced the pH sensitivity and the gene transfection of the lipoplexes.
