A folate labeled amphiphile was synthesized by coupling lauryl betaine with folic acid using PEG-amine as linker. Paclitaxel was delivered to folate receptor overexpressing HeLa cells using the folate labeled amphiphile. Significantly higher (p<0.05) cytotoxicty was noticed in HeLa when compared to Caco-2, which was used as negative control.
