The Influence of Fumed Silicon Dioxides on the Physical Aging and Drug Release Rate of EUDRAGIT~R RS/RL 30 DFilm-Coated Theophylline Pellets

摘要

Theophylline pellets were coated with an acrylic dispersion comprising triethyl citrate, and three grades of fumed silicon dioxide. The effect of the type of silicon dioxide on drug release rates and physical aging of dosage forms was studied and explained based on vapor permeability and mechanical properties of polymeric films.
