With the development of the advanced deep-water technology and shallow water floating storage technique, more and more marine and offshore floating structures have been involved with the loading and offloading operations at the sea, either in deep water or in shallow water. In order to safely control the one floating structure loading from the other offloading floating unit, the related loading and offloading system equipment design should be directly based on the prediction of the hydrodynamic interaction forces and moments. Therefore, accurately predicting the hydrodynamic interaction forces and moments will play important role for the study of loading and offloading techniques. In current study, the numerical schemes for the prediction of hydrodynamic interaction forces and moments in deep water and in shallow water in waves have been presented, implemented and discussed. The two typical vessels' interactions in waves in closed proximity in shallow water and in deep water have been computed to investigate the exact effect of hydrodynamic interactions forces and moments.
