摘要

Motivated by the fact price is another important factor to influence sales, we have made an empirical investigation into how online review ratings and prices change over time and their interaction. Our analysis is performed on secondary data for item and review collected from Amazon.com. Not only have we examined how prices and online review ratings change over time at differing category levels and item levels, but we also unearth important findings which disclose that online ratings are actually a driving force behind prices. Our data analysis further indicates a relatively strong positive association between "rating change" and price change.
