A theoretical model based on the newly developed c~2 -ε_c two-equation method was proposed in order topredict the axial mixing behavior in the structured packing bed. By solving the proposed model, the virtual tracerinjection experiment can be carried out to simulate the flow and axial mixing behavior in the structured packings.The axial dispersion coefficient of liquid single phase or gas-liquid two phase flow can be calculated. Thevalidation of the proposed model is tested by its application to simulate flow behavior in structured packing ofFlexipac 2 type. The simulated results are compared with the experimental data by Ricardo[1]. Satisfactoryagreements are found between the simulation by the proposed model and experiment.
