WIND RESOURCE ASSESSMENT AND COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OFDIFFERENT WIND TURBINES FOR ELECTRICITY GENERATION IN THEBRAZILIAN COASTAL REGION

摘要

This paper presents the study of the wind potential of three chosen sites inthe coastal region of Brazil, describing the methodology used for the data collectionfrom the meteorological stations and their subsequent analysis. The results arepresented in graphic form, illustrating the main parameters, and are accompanied bycomments about their interest in the study of the wind potential. These results areused in the comparative analyses between the considered wind turbines, showingtheir technical feasibility, and a project proposal for one of the measured sites ispresented.
