Earthquake related fluid migration events and their mechanisms are summarized. Hydrological phenomena such as pre-, co- and post seismic groundwater level and fluid pressure change, and fluid discharge to the surface have been reported in many occasions. Possible mechanisms of such phenomena are discussed. Earthquakes alter permeability and mechanical conditions such as stress and pore pressure of underground formations. Also the fluid migration can induce earthquakes. The interaction of them may affect the stability of stored CO_2, but time frame of the events and total volume of the leakage would be limited.
