摘要

Geological sequestration of CO_2 under the seabed is one of the methods to mitigate the global warming. In this option, CO_2 is sequestrated in the aquifer at the depth of 200-500m under the seabed. This method is considered to reduce CO_2 in the atmosphere and to control the acidification caused in the surface water by the CO_2-rich atmosphere. However, this method has a risk of CO_2 leak, which may cause the acidification influences on the organism near the bottom of the ocean. Therefore, it is important to know the behaviour of leaked CO_2 and its biological influence. In this paper, we present numerical simulation of the behaviour of leaked CO_2 bubbles and their biological impact by using a mortality model for zooplankton.
