DISCUSSION ON CLASTIC ROCK GRAIN SIZE DISTRIBUTIONCHARACTERIZATION

This paper introduces the testing method of the caprock grain distribution, including the actuality of thetesting technique of the grain distribution, the importance of the caprock testing , the sample confection, the resultsand the parameters evaluation etc. The confection of the mudstone and siltstone samples is complex, especially thegrain disassembly has direct effect on the accuracy. This paper discusses the accuracy and precision of the laser grainsize testing method. This research, the micro quantitative cap evaluation is supported. From the testing and statisticdistribution, the mudstone purity is higher, namely the sand content is lower. Its closure is better. It is important toevaluate the cap closure.
