Blend solutions of 10 wt.% of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) / poly-amic acid (PAA) was prepared in N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF), and the blended solutions were electrospun to be fibers of 300 ~ 1100 nm in diameter. Not only the diameter but alsothe carbon yields decreased with increasing the blend ratio of PAN. The electrospun fiber web was stabilized and/or imidizedat 300 °C for 60 minutes by supplying N2 gas. Carbon yield of PAN/PAA blend fiber increased with increasing contents ofPAA. The electrical conductivity of carbon nanofiber was about 9.8 ~ 12.5 S/cm at 1000 °C in carbonization and increasedwith increasing contents of PAN.
