Objective of this study is to design extendedrelease ophthalmic inserts of gatifloxacin, anantibacterial drug, using Polyethyleneoxide (PEO),hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) andmethacralyte copolymers (Eudragit) in differentcombinations and to evaluate their physicalproperties and in-vitro release characteristics. Inbest formulations in vitro release was extended up to12 hrs.
