Delayed Drug Delivery from Degrading Polymeric Micelles Based on ThermosensitivePoly(Methacrylamide-Lactate) Derivatives

A new drug delivery concept based on polymericmicelles will be presented. The controlleddestabilization of the thermosensitive micelles uponhydrolysis of hydrophobic side chains controls therelease of encapsulated paclitaxel. In vitrocytotoxicity of micellar paclitaxel resemblescremophor-EL formulations,but carrier toxicity ismuch reduced.
