Antitumor activity in vivo of doxorubicinloadedlong-circulating liposomes was furtherincreased by attaching to their surface themonoclonal 2C5 antibody specificallyrecognizing a broad variety of tumor cells viathe cancer cell surface-attached nucleosomes(NS). 2C5-bearing liposomes analogous to theclinically approved Doxil? demonstratedsignificantly increased antineoplastic activity invivo in murine mammary carcinoma (4T1)model compared to the 2C5-free liposomes.
