Microneedle Based Delivery of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (rFSH):Comparative Pharmacokinetics vs. Standard IM Therapy

The pharmacokinetics (PK) of microneedle delivery ofrecombinant human follicle stimulating hormone (rFSH)into the intradermal space were evaluated in swine againststandard intramuscular (IM) injections for both singlebolusand multi-day therapy. Microneedle deliveryexhibited a faster Tmax than IM, and was substantiallybioequivalent for other PK parameters. Minor buttransient site reactions were seen with microneedledelivery.
