Infrared Absorption of Doped Long Period Superlattices

摘要

In this paper, the band structures in doped long period superlattice GaAs/Al_xGa_(1-x)As were calculated by using the effective mass method. Based on the calculation, we obtained infrared absorption coefficients of superlattice which result from inter-bands transition. This absorption curve depends on thickness of each layer and on the component x evidently. 10.6μm is the working wavelength of CO_2 laser guided missile. We have found a series of materials which absorption peak is at 10.6μm by adjusting the layer thickness and the component x of the super-lattices. At the end ,a result given by using this method is consistent with that of the existed experiments.
