Performance of Multibore Ultrafiltration Systems for Municipal Waste water Treatment

This paper has detailed out all the aspects I.e. from conducting the pilot tests to theevaluation of operating costs to final design concepts evolved for the 200, 000 M3/Day plantin Singapore and has provided very useful information. It would have been beneficial if thedetailed analyses of removal of various species of TOC are obtained and also if it hadexplained on the % removal of BOD and COD. Also most of the municipal wastewaters arelikely to contain some level of oil and it will be good if it is possible to establish some data ontolerance level of these membranes against oil.As it is getting increasingly important to reduce the overall installed costs, the availability of16" membranes in the market should certainly be of interest to the industry.
