To what degree can an individual’s formant production change when their vocalizations are altered? If thespectrographic signature of a person’s voice is the result of unique nuances in their physical build, can this vocal“fingerprint” be altered by subtle manipulation? To answer these questions, this paper presents comparisons in datagathered from various individual's speech. Looking at vocalizations in this detail yields insightful information on how aperson’s voiceprint can be affected when certain factors are involved. More specifically, either when an individual isexperiencing obstructed nasal airflow due to allergies or sickness or when they are mimicking another person.
