摘要

When space vehicles reenter onto the atmosphere withvelocity over 10 km/s, adiative heating from the shockedair ahead of the vehicle plays an important role on theheat flux to the wall surface as well as convective heating.So far, spectroscopic study have been developed for temperaturemeasurement of radiation behind strong shockwaves. In this paper, the CARS (Coherent Anti-StokesRaman Spectroscopy) measurement of radiation behindstrong shock waves in gases was applied. The CARSsystem consists of a YAG laser, a dye laser, and highsensitivityCCD camera systems. The preliminary testswere performed for the purpose of detecting CARS signal.
