VB BASED INTELLIGENT SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT FOR SELECTIONOF CNC CUTTING PARAMETERS

This paper outlines the development of an intelligent system for selection of CNC cutting parameters, in thestudy, rule-based approach and model-based approach are combined to determine the optimal cutting parameters. Inrough turning process, the mathematic model of constraint conditions, based on the “maximum material removal rate”criterion, is founded, and The Method of Geometric Graphic Analysis is selected to achieve the optimal values, and infinish turning process, a database based on the experiences from specialized workers is established, which is used toselect the cutting parameters.
