摘要

Fiber-optic alignment is the key issue to improve the fabrication technique of fiber devices. Afteranalyzing the coupling and alignment tolerances of single-mode fiber based on a theoretical and experimental way,the optimized searching algorithm for alignment automation is presented. The optimized designation involvesoptimization of initial parameters including predetermined threshold power value above noise, step size in search,times of iteration and so on. The optimized designation also involves method to deal with local maximu m in peaksearching and the difference in searching algorithm with respect to different degree of freedom motion. Throughoutthe alignment automation process, the optical power is the only needed feedback signal, the control way is simple andthe searching efficiency for obtaining the optimal coupling is satisfied.
