Wastewater Reuse in Xiedao Eco-farming Resort

In this paper, the comprehensive wastewater treatment technology and the reclaimedwater utilization in an eco-farming resort, Xiedao Beijing, are presented. The test results exactlyindicated, treated by active sludge and ecological wetland, that the removal of COD, BOD5, NH3-Nand TN were 92.7%, 94.1%, 93.4% and 93.1% respectively, whereas the TP-removal efficiency wasonly 29.4%. Through wastewater treatment, the effluent water has reached to the second degree ofChinese integrated wastewater discharge standards and met the requirements of irrigation andscenic water. The eco-farming resort is a vigorous complicated system and its water recyclingrealized rational water utilization, decreasing mining underground water by 50% annually. Besidesbenefiting a lot, the mode of wastewater recycling utilization centered by sewage treatment in Xiedaoeco-farming resort could be applied in other projects to achieve sustainable benefits.
