Recently, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) has been applied in manyfields relating to fluid flow more frequently. It was testified CFD was useful in thesefields. The cooling rate and quality of foodstuffs in the cold store are dependent onthe flow field highly which is the fundamental of temperature field. But the flow fielddesigned by using the original methods is not good enough.In this paper, a two-dimensioned physical and turbulence mathematics model insidea minitype constructional cold store (4.5m (l) ×3.3m (w) ×2.5m (h)) was established.A related computer program with SIMPLE algorithm and intervein girding techniquewas also developed. The simulation results could reflect the characteristics of airflowand temperature distribution because they were well agreed with the experiment. Bysimulation, there was a large circumfluence in flow field, which was harmful to coldstorage of foodstuffs. The mainstream of flow field had the trend of closing to the wall.The outflow of cold fan didn’t flow downwards directly, which also had the trend ofgoing up. The velocity of mainstream had the trend of decreasing near the corner,because the velocity in the flow field was discontinuous. The distribution and renewal
