Results for the amplification at resonance for a single degree of freedom airborne system were used in identifying a regression model that relates the amplification to environmental loads. An ANOVA analysis was performed of the extent of the effects of the environmental flight loads (vibration and temperature) on the amplification. It was observed that the amplification was affected not only by the individual loads but also by the interaction between the loads. The vibration environment was noted to be the most significant, followed by temperature, interaction between temperature and vibration, and finally the square of the temperature. Applying several tests indicated the statistical significance of the model.
