What do donated blood, breast implants, birth control pills, ointment, a dispensing machine, toy crossbows,all-terrain vehicles, fireproofing products, cigarettes, milk cooler, cars, and palletizing machines each havein common?They all belong to the large and growing collection of products that have been the subject of significantproduct liability litigation and record compensation payouts in the USA Canada and indeed worldwide.This paper will present a safety management evaluation system designed to identify and control risks byincorporating procedures and controls to both reduce liability and provide for a due diligence defense.
