摘要

Radial tensile strength of the Eudragit RS matrix tablet increased with the increased particle size from 50 to 200 μ. The addition of hydrophilic polymers with the matrix slightly reduced tensile strength and enteric polymers, such as Cellulose acetate phthalate and Eudragit-L slightly increased the tensile strength. In contrast the addition of cetyl alcohol and stearic acid sharply reduced the tablet strength. The release rates were found to increase with the increase in hydrophilic and pore forming agents. Addition of enteric polymers reduced the release rate of diclofenac. The addition of hydrophobic excipient linearly decreased the release rates.
