摘要

Mechanism of low and variable intestinal absorption was studied for dimethyl-4,4′-dimethoxy-5,6,5′,6′-dimethylene dioxybiphenyl -2,2′-dicarboxylate (DDB). Based on studies of DDB dissolution and on transport of the drug across Caco-2 cell monolayer, dissolution limited absorption appeared responsible for the mechanism of the complex absorption kinetics for this drug.
