BUCCAL PERMEATION OF HYDROCORTISONE FROM CHITOSAN FILMS

摘要

Chitosan films incorporated with a commonly used topical oral anti-inflammatory agent, hydrocortisone (HC) was prepared and permeability of the oral mucosa as well as the distribution of the drug in different tissue strata was investigated. A markedly increased buccal permeation of HC was obtained both with cross-linked and free chitosan films.
