IMPLEMENTING EXTREME PROGRAMMING INTO MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM'S CURRICULUM TO BETTER PREPARE STUDENTS FOR THE ACCELERATING PACE OF TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGE

Extreme Programming (XP) can be regarded as both a new philosophy for software development and a set of complementary practices to existing software development methodologies. This research proposes exploration of the benefits XP can offer to an MIS curriculum and its effect on students' software development skill level. Even though XP is a new concept, it is our responsibility as academic researchers and knowledge disseminators to investigate concepts on the leading edge of software development and to supply the appropriate skills to our future graduates to ensure rapid yet robust software development.
