Aerospace Engine Component Cleaning: A case study of the effectiveness of three differentimmersion cleaning methods; soaking, liquid agitation and vertical part agitation. The testing wasperformed to determine which method or methods are most effective at cleaning engine componentsin a typical aerospace overhaul immersion cleaning system. The data was generated using actual inprocessengine components at a major airline’s maintenance and overhaul facility in the United States.The goal was to generate quantifiable cleaning effectiveness comparisons between these methods,which are the three most common methods used in a typical engine cleaning line.
