INTRANET AS A TOOL FOR CONSTRUCTION COMMUNICATION

摘要

Lack of needed information and slow decision process can cause considerable delays during construction process. In order for a project to be well managed, data from different project participants should be collected and must be readily available. Thus, the Internet can be utilized as a vehicle for communication The objective of this paper is to offer a a framework strategy of a Intranet-based information System that provide a help in the managing the construction process. A prototype application is developed to demonstrate how data is acquired and transferred to the user using an Intranet, and then processed and represented to project key-players via the Internet.
