Developing a Management System of Physical Examinations for Primary Schools in Taiwan

Data gathered in a physical examination has to be organized and presented in a way that provides unambiguous information about the condition of a student's health in elementary school. This helps to prevent ailments in the future. Currently, the responsibility for drawing up charts of examination data most often falls on nurses and other medical assistants. Invariably, different charts systems are in use at different schools, which causes misunderstandings and discrepancies in the statistics. In this paper, we designed and implemented a data processing system of health examination records for elementary schools. The incorporated functions of this system contain a study status, check, vaccine, health exam, health management, print, code installation, system installation and an explanation component. The system provides a simple user interface, which improves the traditionally used charts and resolves other difficulties of data safekeeping. The system provides additional statistical charts for various data and can be used for data tracing, which greatly decreases the workload of workers responsible for drawing up the data. It therefore improves on the data processing system currently in use.
