The novel technique, Capillary Saturation Porometry is described. This technique is capable ofameasuring pore volume, pore size and flow rate. The test uses a wetting liquid and air at lowpressure, and takes very little time. No toxic or harmful material is used. Results obtained usingdepth filtration media consisting of alumina powders are presented and critically examined. Porevolumes of the media determined by mercury porosimetry are also presented. The resultsobtained by the two techniques are in excellent agreement with each other.
