In December 2000, California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) began the process of migrating 175 courses from WebCT version 2.x to version 3.x. This six-month process began with the implementation of a test server along with hands-on "WebCT Changes" workshops. The test server was used to troubleshoot bugs on the version of WebCT to which we were migrating. Next, the actual migrations were performed by faculty and the WebCT administrator. Validation and fine-tuning of course material completed this transition. We had two major goals. One was to minimize the difficulties encountered by faculty as they migrated their courses. The other goal was to assist faculty in embracing the new features of WebCT. This poster session will focus on the process of migrating; what worked, what didn't work, and lessons learned.
