Within a research project at KTH simulation models of freigth wagons were established. During investigations it turned out that the flexible properties of the underframe probably cannot be neglected in the models. Therefore a FE-model of an underframe of a two-axle freight wagon was built up. The most important eigenmodes are incoroporated into a multibody vehicle model. Comparisons with measurements and some parameter studies are presnted.
