A novel error esimator based on the Zienkiewicz-Zhu error estimate algorithm is paresented for the electromagnetic field finite element computation. In the estimatork the error is calculated in semi-norm and the continuos field is achieved by using spearately a projection operation in each differential material region. A fully automatic adaptive mesh genrator by combining Delaunay Triangulation and Advancing Front methods is also given out. The mesh ddaptation is based on the mesh regenerating technique. The cahracteristics of the error estimator and the mesh generator are demonstrated by two examples.
