摘要

The paper describes further developments in modelling field penetration and AC losses in high-temperature superconducting tapes subjected to external magnetic fields. The simulation relies on treating the phenomenon as a highly non-linear diffusion process. A 2D scheme has been developed using a time-stepping formulation similar to that used previously for calculation of self-field losses. Very good agreement with measurements is reported.
