Sustainable Energy Services Strategy for Rural Areas in Yemen

摘要

This paper is an effort to formulate a strategy for sustainable energy services in rural areas of Yemen. Special emphasis is paid to renewable energy sources (RES). The study examines the energy status of the country, the high potentials of RES. Further existing policies and services are investigated, including applications of RES. Finally, a rural energy services strategy is formulated. It is believed that the implementation of proposed strategy should lead to sustainable energy services development in rural areas of Yemen.
