Renewable energy resources of pakistan coastline region

摘要

Pakistan has 1,500 miles of sshoreline, probably one of the longest undeveloped coast, owing to lack of infrastructure, energy and communication links. Among various issues of development, energy bears significant importance. With the present energy resources and economic situation, any significant contribution from fossil fuels cannot be expected. However, renewable energy, particularly solar and wind, have great potential and if utilised properly can play an important role towards the development of the region. This paper describes the potentials of solar and wind energy sources in the region.
