Capacitances and inductances extraction for pcbs using exponential expansion method

摘要

Based on the Maxwell's equations, the mathematical formulation for the equivalent-circuit model of PCBs are discussed. A numerical methodology is presented for the extraction of capacitances and inductances of this model. The methodolgoy combines the integral equation technique and exponential expansion method. The exponential expansion method is employed as for the evaluation of the scalar potential and the vector potential, resulting a rapid and accurate extraction of capacitances and inductances for PCBs.
