Hydrogen Production Technologies by Coal Gasification

摘要

Hydrogen will become an important component of clean energy in the 21st century. Therefore, the development of hydrogen production technologies will attract more attention of many countries all around the world, which can be divided into two major categories, the one being electrolysis of water that needs to consume electric power, and the other being energy conversion from other forms of energy that is accompanied by energy loss. Taking raw material resources, efficiency of energy utilization and technical and economical aspects into account, coal gasification technologies will be of great importance to the rapid development of hydrogen production technologies in China. This paper presents the current status and development prospects, the existing problems and related countermeasures of the coal gasification technologies that take hydrogen as the target product in China.
