Numerical approaches to diffuser pump off-design performance

This paper presents a methodology developed for pump off-design performance. The pump CFD model and the system characteristic equation was incorporated to allow for flow dynamics in the duct. Flow analysis was applied to an entire circumference of capture the asymmetric flow physics at part flow, and Arbitrary Sliding Interface was exploited to consider the influence of rotor/stator interaction.
